A Comment thread is when you comment on somones blog and make a conversation with the person.

I made a comment thread with Keira one my anolog clock blog.

To write a comment thread you would need to write a greeting, a thoughtful comment, a connection, a question, more information, and a farewell.

Te Reo Moari

For Te Reo Moari we couldn’t speak english for 8 to 10 minutes.

First we went down to the mat in a group, then Wheae Odi turned on 8 to 10 minute timer.

We had to try and figure out what she was saying then we had to copy what she said sometimes.

I enjoyed this task, It helped me with my Te Reo language. I need to improve on figuring out what she says sometimes.

Skits

This week for inquiry we made a skit.

First we planned the skit, Our skit was about Daeyna and Mia Bella calling me mean names and I try to stick up for myself then Genesis sticks up for me, our morral of the story was to stick up for others if you don’t know them or if you don’t like them.

Then my group and I wrote down the roles, my role was getting bullied and trying to stick up for myself Daeyna and Mia Bella were the bullies, and lastly Genesis was the kind person who would stick up for me.

I enjoyed this tasks, I did well on planning the skit. I need to improve on acting the skit.

statistics

I learnt different types of statistics.

The first thing we did was to write down our favourite colour, a month you were born in, if we could ride a bike, and how many people lived in our house.

Then we wrote different types of charts for each topic, for example, a bar graph for how many people lived in your house, the most written down were 5 people, one of them even had 13 people.

I enjoyed this task, I did well on writing to the total and frequency. 

 

Identify the Poetry

There are some types of poetry like diamante, cinquain, haiku, and limricks.

Diamante has 7 lines the word count is 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, and the word types are noun, adjective, and verbs, and there is no rythmn and rhyme.

Cinquain has 5 lines, syllable count, story or desricption,  topic or description, action, feeling, conclusion the lastly our syllable

Haiku has 5 syllable, 7 syllables, 5 syllable, a seasonal word.

I enjoyed this task, I did well on writing the poetry type limricks.

SSR Selfie

I did my SSR Selfie.

I read for 15 minutes, then I wrote the auother and the illustrater after I wrote the main character.

Lastly I recounted what happend in the story so fact and listed three new words and wrote it in my own words.

I enjoyed this task, I did well on recounting what happend in the story so far.

Rhyme

I learnt different types of rhymes.

First I learnt what end rhyme, alltertion, assonance, and consansance means.

Then I made a document and put the right poems in the right rhymes.

I enjoyed this task, I did well on writing my end rhymes.

 

Evaluating

Today for reading I learnt to evalute.

First we read a text about a crowded swimming pool.

Then we compreheded what was good about the text, then we oppsed what was bad about the text, for example, the pool will make me warm, and the pool is to crowded.

Lastly I summarised the two sides, then I wrote down my opinion, my opinion was that I would not like to get in the pool because ut is to crowded and it can get hot.

I enjoyed this task I learnt a new skill evaluating. I did well on opposing and telling my opinion. I need to improve on compreheding.

Rahi and The Patupaiarehe

This week we fixed and summarised a text.

First we reread Rahi and the Paupaiarehe for 6 minutes.

Then we wrote down 20 important words, some of our words were, Rahi, Lifted, and Death.

After we wrote 6 MOST imprtant words, 3 of our most important words were  Froze, Ti ara, and Taniwha, lastly we wrote a few sentences using the 6 MOST important words.

I enjoyed this task, I did well of finding the some of the 20 important words, I need to improve on writing some sentences using the 6 words.

Reading Analog

This week we learnt how to read an analog clock.

There’s two different hands, the hour hand and the minute hand.

The hour hand is the short little hand that shows how many hours has passed by, the tall long hand is the minute hand it shows how many minutes has past by.
