Anzac

I created a anzac quatrefoil.

First I choosed my shape of the quatrefoil then I choose what design and colours im was going to use.

Then I drew my quatrefoil on a google drawing, then I praticed drawing it on scrap piece of paper.

Lastly I put my design on the quatrefoil nd placed it on the spots i wanted it to be in and changed the colours.

I enjoyed this task because I got to design my quatrefoil, I need to improve on drawing it on the scrap piece of paper.

 

Basic facts prototec

This week I did a task called prototec.

Year 4’s had to do year 5 level maths year 5’s did year 6 level maths and year 6’s did year 7 level maths.

Then  I did a timed sheet, on the timed I got 18 correct. Then I did a the sheet this time it didn’t have a time limt.

Lastly I wrote down 10 wrong questions in my math book.

I enjoyed this task because it helps me with my equations. I need to improve on my divison.

 

Imaginative Recount

This week we wrote an imaginative recount with our plan.

I first I wrote my reveal from my brainstorm plan.

Then I wrote down my event 1 and event 2 from my brainstorming plan, One of my ideas for event 1 was “freewheeling down the hill”, and one of my ideas for event 2 was ” there is a survivor at the petrol station”.

Lastly I wrote event 3 and the ending, one of my ideas for event 3 was “they sacrifice Sahile and kim”.

I enjoyed this task because I can use my imagination to write a the recount, I need to improve on using more simple ideas.

 

Fact Find

This week we learnt to do a fact find about drums.

First we had to chosse a drum from a different culture, I chossed a buk drum.

Next I wrote down 5 different facts about the but drum, one of the facts I wrote was ” the korean buk drum has been used since the three kinddoms of korea”.

Then I wrote down the introduction about the buk drum.

Lastly I wrote and puts some pictures of the buk drum and put down the links of the informations sources.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt information about the korean but drum, I need to improve on finding more facts.

SSR selfie

I did a cando called SSR selfie.

I read this book for 15 minutes, then I wrote the main charactar and wrote a short simple recount.

Lastly I listed three different words and wrote the meanings of the words.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new words, I need to improve on finding different type of words.

Commanding Conversation

I did a cando task calles commanding conversation.

To do this task you have to pick a picture and write a coversation that connects with the picture.

 I enjoyed this task because it helps me with my spelling, and I can use my imagination.

Prototec basic facts

Today we did a task called Prototec.

First Mr Ogilvie taught us what to do on prototec. But the year 4′ s had to do year 5 level maths, year 5′ s had to do the year 6 level maths, and year 6’s had to do the year 7 level maths.

Then we went on prototec and timed ourselves basic facts, after we did it without the timer.

Lastly we wrote down 1o of the wrong answers on our math books.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt my divisions, I did well on non times basic facts, I need to improve on working on my fractions and percentages.

 

Basic fact boxes

I completed a task called basic facts speed demon challenge.

I did it up to 20 I got 95/100 my time limit was 5m and 42s.

I need to improve and be faster.

 

South pacific Beats

This week we learnt to understand texts and connections.

First Mr wong read page 5 and 6 for our shared reading, after Mr wong read we answered the questions linked with the text.

Next I finished reading the last pages of the book to my group, then we answered the question for the page. One of the questions were ” why do you think Rachel wants Tonga to be able to manufacture the pato”.

Lastly we dicussed in the answers in the group then answered all the question.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt to understand text I need to improve on writing answering more questions I did well on connecting with my partner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Imaginative recount

This week we learnt how to write a imaginative recount.

First we brainstormed some ideas, we brainstormed the main charactar, supporting character, and the supporting event, the main charcter was James and the supporting event was Billy-bob, Patty, kim, Sahile, and Lee.

Then we used a backwards S plan, in the backwards S plan we used a reveal, event 1, event 2,  event 3, and the ending. My reveal for the backwards is plan is “Running away from zombies apcocalypse on foot”. Event 1 was “finding bikes, event 2 was”, “a survivor at a gas station”, and last event 3 was “the family escapes from some zombies but the encounter the horse”.

I enjoyed this task because I know how to write a imaginative recount, I need to improve on using more simple ideas.
